Teams Calling Transition Resources

The Collaboration Tools and Storage product team is supporting the transition to Teams Calling for individual users and planning units across campus.  The team has established a transition plan that includes a structured, phased approach to minimize disruption to the 天美传媒community, align with key academic events, and incorporate proactive communication with each planning unit and end users.

Communication and Training

Communication will occur with each planning unit at several touchpoints through the transition process. The outline below highlights those events and what audiences can expect through this transition period.

Key considerations

  • Academic calendar: The transition schedule intentionally omits specific weeks to accommodate important academic events. If there are academic events that impact your unit, 天美传媒IT will work with your unit to adjust the schedule.
  • Unit engagement: Success requires timely and constructive communication and partnership with each unit.  
  • Operational constraint: Larger planning units will transition over multiple weeks to ensure adequate support resources.
  • Flexibility: The transition schedule will be flexible to meet the needs of each planning unit and to allow for collaborative work.  The schedule will be updated periodically based on feedback from each unit and any need for adjustments.
